Soulteers SHAKTI is looking for Soul-teers to help maintain the studio and manage classes. You might ask…What is a “Shakti Soul-teer?” Well, these are fellow yogis and community friends, just like you, who bring life and spirit to the studio. That friendly face at the front desk or the person making fresh tea after class just might be a Soul-teer. Soul-teers are responsible for the following: Front desk/Class registration: Show up 30 minutes before the class to check people in. At the end of class, dry mop the floor, make tea, check people in for the next class, put blocks away, and close after everybody leaves (15-20 minutes after class). These shifts can be anywhere between 2-5 hours, with a minimum commitment of three-six months. Weekly studio cleaning: This would include mopping/sweeping, dusting, cleaning mats, watering plants, and any other minor tasks. This shift may be 2-3 hours. Community Outreach: Karma fuels the soul! You can join one of the owners and/or instructors in planning community outreach, providing instructor support at community activities, arranging community class schedule, etc. This shift varies on the size of the Karma project. Soul-teers receive 1 class free for each hour of work. We are looking for as much consistency as possible, but if you can't fulfill your Soul-teer obligation on any given day, we'd just ask for as much notice as possible. Also, if you have some other amazing skills, please let us know.
